Project overview

Designed around Magento’s ecommerce platform, this new design was deployed to streamline their navigation structure and to basically get a lot of information across to the user in a very simplified way. New products and best-sellers are highlighted on the home page along with quicklinks to dietary needs, store information all backed by stronger use of imagery.

Project overview

Taking a cue from colourways, typography and other Doctor Who branding elements, this design also had to echo the look and feel of the hard-copy magazine. From a commercial perspective, the site also had to promote visitors to subscribe to the magazine and its regular HTML newsletter.

With a target demographic of 6-13 year olds, the layout is intentionally simple, easy to navigate and fun. Offerings include wallpapers and icons (provided by illustrator Ben Morris), interaction in the form of a reader’s poll and gallery, plus the latest news and video trailers.

Project overview

The site’s general appearance echoes the typical areas of typography, colourways and identity, creating a strong brand presence that gels with Village Circle’s other marketing.

Using WordPress as a CMS, my solution allows the client to add event listings and image galleries, as well as gather user feedback to help improve future events.

Village Circle offers users an overview of the organisation, the facility to purchase tickets, register for event updates and suggest feedback via a well-considered survey form.

Online social networking also plays a part in the form of recent tweets from Twitter, and links to their Facebook and LinkedIn groups.

Project overview

Offering debt management services, Fresh Start UK enlisted my help to design their corporate identity, business stationery, website and promotional materials. The primary focus of this project was to convey a simple, friendly and clean look and feel for the company.

Initially a static brochure site, Fresh Start now use WordPress as CMS, allowing for greater exposure and scalability from an SEO perspective. In this instance, they again enlisted my help on a fairly radical redesign.

Project overview

In the lead-up to Christmas, a seasonal theme was applied to the Brilliant Gift Shop’s landing page, making use of promotional areas and lots of different ways for the user to navigate around the site. As usual, there was an abundance of information and promotional areas to consider, all of which have been deployed in a tasteful and organised way. In addition to this, a gift finder tool was added, making it even easier for users to find what they’re looking for and to drive further sales through the site.

Front-end visuals, user interface design and concept work for a pitch to the national furniture retailer DFS.

Project overview

DFS intentionally don’t offer a way to actually buy their products online (preferring potential customers to visit their showrooms), therefore the site needed to really convey the quality of their products to their customers and act as a pre-sales tool

The key aspects of my design place an emphasis on creating a richer user experience that goes beyond the typical ‘brochure’ style approach, the user can visualise products in situ by using the room planner. Individual product pages offer a zooming tool and options to view the product range in different colour variations.

Project overview

Offering a lounge and club atmosphere with all ambience of a private member’s bar, The Enclave is an exclusive venue located in Soho, London.

Challenged with incorporating an image gallery, as well as extensive food and drink menus, I provided a stylish look and feel for the website which echoes the identity and quirky interior décor of this popular bar and venue. I also integrated a WordPress-powered back-end, enabling the client to add future news, promotions and events.

Web design concept work for a keyword tracking web app.

Project overview

Working with Stickyeyes – a top 10 SEO and internet marketing agency – the aim of this promotional landing page was to get people to sign up for a free trial, in this case the sign-up process had been streamlined so the user only needs to enter their email address.

As described by the client, the original Market Defender site was described as ‘sorely out of place, cheap-looking and having a rather convoluted navigation’, so my design had to tackle these objectives as well as presenting a slick, no-nonsense look and feel.

Project overview

Offering expertise to many blue-chip retail clients (including Argos, Halfords, Interflora and Marks & Spencer), eNova approached me to develop their corporate identity, branding, and to refresh their website’s front-end.

The direction for the brand design and name was centred around a ‘nova’ being a star, something representing the spark of ideas and the beginning of something new. On the client’s request, the final solution delivered a conservative – but not stuffy – tone which is echoed throughout the website.

WordPress theme design and development for MouthLondon – a magazine aimed and young people and students based in London.

Project overview

With topics covering Current Affairs, Media, Technology, Culture, Arts and Sport, MouthLondon approached me to redevelop their existing website which, at the time, was powered by Wix – a Flash-based publishing tool. With that in mind, the decision was quickly made to use WordPress as a means of publishing as it’s the ideal content management system for this purpose.

The new WordPress-powered site allows writers and contributors to sign-up and create their own profiles and publish articles. The design clearly categorises articles by use of colour and and structure, echoing the hard-copy publication. With the aid of user-generated tags, the site will also recommend similar articles.

Project overview

Incorporating a wealth of product information and slick photography for the likes of Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki, I created the design and layout for a catalogue specifically targeted at the motocross market. The overall look and feel used grunge cues to emphasise the ‘dirty’ nature of this popular activity.

Project overview

Due to the large amounts of acts appearing and frequency of changes to the line-up, the client needed a flexible design solution.

Using a moody scene of the Humber Bridge and grungy typography, I created this design which set the tone and ultimately allowed plenty of room for copy revisions.

Project overview

WebGlow are a B2B company offering web application development, digital marketing, analysis, and custom programming. I was commissioned to provide an overhaul of existing branding. At the clients request, this phoenix-like symbol was devised, portraying WebGlow as a modern and forward-thinking company, and applied to corporate stationery and the eventual WebGlow site.
