BBC Worldwide assigned me to provide the website creative design and newsletter design for the online version of Doctor Who Adventures magazine (with coding and development being handled in-house).
Taking a cue from colourways, typography and other Doctor Who branding elements, this design also had to echo the look and feel of the hard-copy magazine. From a commercial perspective, the site also had to promote visitors to subscribe.
With a target demographic of 6-13 year olds, the layout is intentionally simple, easy to navigate and fun.
Offerings include wallpapers and icons (provided by the hugely talented illustrator Ben Morris), interaction in the form of a reader’s poll and gallery, as well as the latest blogs and video trailers.
